There are a lot of things that I want to write about: school stuffs, (old and new) friends, recent shenanigans, random thoughts and more so I simply decided to update my Life Lately blog segment; been writing heavily recently since the turn of the year–inspiration, perhaps. The truth is, I feel the urge to write (all day, all night) since the semester just started and I’m readying–piling up new blog entries–since I know I’ll be busy in the coming weeks. Hectic ang sched, mga bestie. I’m hoping to write more about interesting topics (check the ‘Writings’ section on my sidebar for my previous essays; have plenty of them in my drafts) and my fingers itch to work. #bloggermode Let’s take a closer look on how my life is lately.
First and foremost, I can’t believe that this segment–ATM with Bryan–has already reached 10 volumes as of speaking (I mean, as of writing)! *mentally shrieking* It’s a feat for me (as a blogger) to have continued a tradition and have made this an experience. In fact, majority of my readers commend this blog series for some reasons. I remember discovering this entry as The Sunday Currently–a link up made by siddathornton, a bandwagon which a number of bloggers have joined (including yours truly). It feels surreal to witness this segment grow and continually develop volume after volume; becoming a favorite among my loyal readers.
The first week of the new term has just ended and (I must say that) I’ll be busier in the coming weeks–knowing that I have a demanding set of professors. First week pa lang, stress na. Apparently, my body clock and system has yet to adjust to the (energy draining) nature of school. Plus, I have exerted my best effort last semester only to witness a single subject ruin my good-looking portal grade page. So now, it seems like I have lost the fire and desire to perform well academically–all because of that subject. Anyway, now is not the time to rant so for now, I’m giving you a list of my at the moments. 😊
Hello, readers! Welcome to another volume of 10 Awesome Things This Week–ironic ‘cause I’m writing about last week’s shenanigans now since I haven’t got enough time to write this entry last week. So as I was scrolling through my old blog entries (stalking thyself, eh?), I happened to come across the lone volume of this segment; got quite anxious since I haven’t published a follow-up volume since. Just a while ago, I decided to write the 2nd volume–this very entry that you’re reading–and officially create a tab for this blog segment on my blog’s side bar (for you to access it easily). Not to mention, I have other blog series to catch up on but for now, here’s a quick rundown of the top 10 most awesome things that happened/took place last week. Happy scrolling! Finally! After months of not having a legit ganap (except birthday celebs), the squad is finally reunited to celebrate the Christmas season together. Our different and conflicting semestral scheds got in the way of get togethers and day outs but now that the semester is over, we say hello to the term break–which means walwal is real. We’ve been complete during the recent b’day parties but (admit it or not) nothing compares to authentic gatherings–especially those that are for no apparent reasons. Perhaps, this is the best way to end the year and to celebrate the Tropa Day (which is on the 28th).
Tagaytay is probably the best place to celebrate holidays–bet nobody will argue with that. Coffee and Bulalo are both extra special in the city (plus, the fog, cold weather and hoodies). And so, for the crew’s reunion, I suggested for the day out to be in Tags (short or Tagaytay). Plus, Tags weather is made better when you’re with the best people in town and (not to mention) it’s been a while since the Tropa last went to Tags–talk about perfect timing. Things went as planned and it couldn’t get any better. With that being said, I’m recounting everything that happened during our Year Ender. Happy scrolling!
I remember that I wished for the final term to be easy-going in a blog entry before–and so it did. I got exempted on 2 final exams for Prof Ed subjects; the rest of my subjects require either a final output or a practical exam. I only have 2 written final exams for this term (I took the first one prior to the finals week while the last one is scheduled on the last day of the week). Meaning, I only have one exam left on the week but I still went to school on Monday to Thursday for allowance and to polish some requirements. For now, here’s a gallery of my washday OOTDs for the Final period.
Happy New Year! Let’s all welcome 2017 with a positive mind, leading to positive vibe which transcends to positive life (optimism, basically). 2016 is so far the best year of my life–in terms of learning, maturity and a whole lot more. I can’t grasp a single adjective or term that can fairly describe the previous year. It’s as though I hopped into a roller coaster–it’s a cliché that life is compared to a roller coaster metaphorically–that has ups and downs comprised in a single track. Blessings. Challenges. New experiences. Drama. Laughter. New people. Old friends. Family. Thank you 2016!
I’ve started this welcoming-the-new-year entry with the thought of recounting everything that happened in the previous year but looking back–checking old Facebook posts, used planners, Instagram photos and blog entries–on the past 12 months would require real effort on my part. On the contrary, I couldn’t get my thoughts to list down my hopes and plans for the new year (and besides, new year’s resolution are like promises–meant to be broken). So after days (take it literally) of thinking on what to write down below, I’ve finally come up with a quick rundown of how 2016 has been to me.
Merry Christmas everyone! It’s the most beautiful time of the year–admit it or not, Christmas has got to be the highlight of the year despite taking place on the 12th month. Now, all of our stressors have conspired to make way for us to spend the Christmas season with our families. Even the semester ended in time for me (and my fellow Lasallians) to rest and shop for OOTDs and gifts. It feels great how after a busy schedule, you get to take some time off of work and school to celebrate the most wonderful season with your loved ones and friends.
As for me, Christmas spirit has since started to frizzle out as I grow up–which is a sad reality. As I age, it seems that I’m turning reluctant in celebrating the season (perhaps, it is due to the fact that I stopped the ‘pamamasko’ habit years ago; I still receive Aguinaldo from my extended family). #adulting101 But recently, on the contrary, I realized that this season is meant to spend maximum time with your loved ones–a tradition that we have practiced for the past 3 or 4 years. I guess it implies that Christmas can be devoted through a number of ways. Happy holidays!
